Aims
The project aimed at identifying the socio-economic
and bio-physical conditions under which migration and migration
remittances can contribute to increased and sustainable
investments in irrigated oasis agriculture in oases Moroccan and Tunisian oases.
Besides the identification of the enabling
conditions for successful promotion of the agricultural
development, imarom
aimed to assess the ecological consequences of current changes in
land and water management in oases. This is important, since
increasing pressure on land and water resources might endanger the
future sustainability of oasis agriculture. |
