Work packages
The
imarom research has
been split up in five work packages.

Socio-economic survey among
approximately 1,000 oasis households in Morocco and Tunisia,
focusing on migration and agriculture.

Socio-economic interviews on plot
level, focusing on agricultural practices and actual land and
water management.

A general evaluation of the
bio-physical environment of oases, assessing climate, land and
water resources.

A survey on oasis level of the
agricultural and irrigation systems and their organisation.
-
Theoretical modelling, which will
serve to integrate and analyse data gathered for the first four
work packages
